
FragMiner - DEMO
FragMiner is a game where you mine with bombs and accumulate loot to spend on upgrades to mine even more.
This is the WEB demo version of the game; for a more stable and update version, check out on Steam
This is an incremental clicker with active gameplay: click to throw your bombs at blocks and ores, experience chain reactions between different ores, and move your cursor to pick up the loot.

Unlock stronger explosives, new rare ores, bigger mines, and so much more in the skill tree to get incrementally stronger.

Descend to new biomes by paying a gold toll to prestige. You’ll reset your skill tree in exchange for permanent damage and gold multipliers, unlocking deeper mines with new ores and advanced upgrades.

There are many different blocks and ores in the game, each one having a unique effect, such as Sulfur exploding on destruction, damaging nearby tiles.

CONTROLS: the whole game is played by clicking.

Wow, that is so satisfying. Really well done with the special blocks.
Adding something that makes it a little bit clearer what you've maxed and have yet to purchase would be helpful. Once the skill tree get's large it can be a little tricky to quickly see at a glance.
It could be tricky to implement a zoom feature (to zoom-out the skill tree) due the nature of the UI of the game being very tiny with 8x8 assets. I'll try to find out a solution
It might help to just grey out maxed skills? That way, only skills that have yet to be fully purchased would stay in colour, making it more visually obvious where to go next.
Related; the skills tree isn't centred on screen when you enter it. I needed to scroll a bit to the right every time to get to the column with the hazard stuff, but there was extra space available on the left every time.
It would be helpful to show the explosion radius so you can see how close you are to being able to hit more blocks.
That's a good idea, currently it's kinda obscure to understand how big the bomb radius is.
when there are no more ores can you please make it so it takes you straight back because (While fun at first) it makes it tedious. and maybe like ~5 gold per bomb you have left as like an early finish bonus.
By straight back you mean back to the camp with the skill tree and other options, or back to another mine? (I'm adding a bonus for clearing a mine when you've bomb left next patch!)
straight back to camp but going having an option to go immediately to another mine would be helpful
New prestige level is quite fun! There's a few more loops where the player has to consider what to buy next rather than just clicking on anything that has a white outline, which is what I find myself doing in the last half of each prestige level.
Found a not-quite-a-bug; sometimes if you rapidly launch all your bombs right at the start of the level and all the blocks get cleared & gems collected, the level doesn't end for 5+ seconds. I think it might be the delayed explosion of the lodestones? Game still waits for those to trigger even if there are no blocks left to act on.
Could benefit from a trigger to immediately run the gem collect phase when there's no more blocks.
Glad you're enjoying the first prestige! Regarding the "delay" for ending the mine run it's something related to lodestone but also bouncy bombs and a few more things. Should be fixed within the next patch

Sure, I wanted to add more settings and I can easily add a flag for turning off screenshakes. I've made the steam page today, it should be up in a few days!

omg thank you i just checked my notifications to see this message i love the update two problems when you want to move the screen up you move your figures down but when you wanna go right you move your figures right just a bit confusing second problem the hazards don't pop up frequent enough

Very simple but entertaining game loop...
Having to throw bombs when there's noting left on the screen feels a bit silly - maybe have some kind of upgrade/reward currency for full clears with bombs left over? Right now there's little point in staying strategic once you've got a bunch of the chaining upgrades, so it gets less interesting in the mid-to-late game.
Still not a fan of the music but thank you immensely for letting it be turned off! Huge quality of life upgrade.
The core gameplay loop is good; I did find myself sometimes wanting to stay in the mine rather than always being kicked out to the upgrade screen, though the mining payouts are so generous you can quickly go through the whole tree in <30 minutes.
With some more levels or challenges, I can see this becoming a very good game.
Thanks! Yep, I'm gonna add a bonus if you cleared the current mine with some bombs left, but also some objects to target that cause various effects. Also working on new levels to have more progression!

I think I maxed out the current version of the game. Very fun! Although I will say I started by focusing on bomb upgrades and I ended most mining rounds with excess bombs. It's kind of boring to have to just throw them at nothing. Would be cool to just skip bombs when there are no rocks left! Or get a bonus for excess bombs. Good game!
Thanks! I'm working on having a bonus for clearing everything without using all the bombs, but also adding objects to throw bombs at to spice up the gameplay as well.
I like it so far, keep expanding it, the loop works, just create more levels and upgrades!

How do I scroll horizontally? I got all the upgrades on the screen including one that only had one edge barely visible, but maybe there's more.
I recommend changing the outline color for upgrades you can't afford and ones that are fully upgraded.
If you've destroyed all the blocks and collected all the ore, you shouldn't have to throw the rest of your bombs too.
Definitely add higher-tier stronger ores. It shouldn't be that easy to clear the map. Though it didn't help that I didn't find the expand map area of the grid for a while.
Yea the scroll is bugged currently, fixing it soon with a small patch. I like the outline color idea for the upgrades, I'll add that as well.

I really want to like this game, but the constant speed up and slow down of the music is incredibly annoying, and with it opening in its own window I can't even easily mute the whole thing. Please, PLEASE add some audio controls.

EDIT: first level of +1 copper ore doesnt actually ensure you get one. ive gone three runes without a single copper ore

need harder minerals. by the time you have 70% of the tree you can basically destroy everything with 3-4 bombs
