First off, thanks to everyone who has tried the game! The feedback has been truly helpful.
This update features a major rework of the difficulty and scaling system. The game is easier at the beginning, and enemies now scale in power based solely on the area's difficulty. Areas still become progressively more difficult over time, but the overall pacing is much improved.
Anyway, here is the changelog:
- Difficulty Rework: Completely reworked the enemy scaling system.
- New Perks: Added more perks to the skill tree, including a new "Echoing" type, which allows you to invest up to 20 points to increase a specific stat.
- Horde Limits: The horde now has a unit limit. It starts at 10 but can be easily increased via the cheapest building, the Goblin's Hut.
- Auto-Replace: When a new goblin is added to a full team, the weakest goblin (lowest rarity) is automatically replaced.
- Salvaging: You can now "salvage" goblins for gold.
- UI Polish: Added significant motion and animations to the user interface, and reworked some UI.
- Audio: Default music volume now starts at 50% rather than 100%.
- Balancing: Applied various balance changes throughout the game.
